The NPE range

Mecc Alte NPE compact alternators span three families: NPE32, NPE34 and NPE38 delivering 6-192 kVA across both 4-pole and 2-pole configurations, with both three-phase and dedicated single-phase options available. Power outputs reach 72 kVA in single-phase. This breadth of offering means one product family can address applications from small leisure boats through medium-sized yachts, mobile command installations, rental fleets and welfare systems.

Compact design,
full performance

Mecc Alte achieves the NPE’s exceptional power density through design fundamentals that preserve rather than compromise performance.

High inertia construction

Large lamination diameters create high rotor inertia, delivering superior stability against transient loads and vibration damping that smaller compact machines cannot match.

Digital voltage regulation

The M2K Digital AVR with built-in auto-tuning, ±0.5% voltage accuracy and Load Acceptance Management System (LAMS) ensures smooth power output and fast engine recovery even as loads change rapidly.

Standard enhanced insulation

GREY insulation protection is standard across the full range, providing enhanced insulation and mechanical protection against contamination and environmental stress.

Clean power output

Two-thirds pitch winding throughout reduces total harmonic distortion, delivering cleaner power to sensitive equipment.

Auxiliary winding system

All models feature the MAUX auxiliary winding system, supplying high-speed excitation through dedicated stator windings rather than an external PMG. The system delivers over 300 per cent short circuit capability for 20 seconds to support demanding motor starting loads.

Target applications

Marine

Engine room footprint and deck space are at a premium in yachts and workboats. Compact gensets simplify installation in confined technical spaces, freeing space for other critical systems and equipment.

Telecom base stations

Rooftop and remote BTS sites face strict space limitations. NPE alternators fit easily into tight enclosures or shelters.

Mobile deployments

Vehicle power such as ambulances, broadcast vans, mobile clinics and military command posts require reliable power in the most mobile format.

Rental and temporary events

Easy transport, quick deployment and space efficiency are essential for many rental applications. The NPE’s compact size and weight make it ideal for power output in temporary installations.

Reliability and environmental protection

Compact design often implies lighter construction or reduced durability margins, whereas the the Mecc Alte NPE is engineered with high inertia rotors, sealed-for-life bearings and robust frame construction, delivering guaranteed reliability.

The upgraded GREY insulation protection is included as standard on all NPEs with optional TOTAL+ or VT+ harsh-duty insulation systems available. This ensures the NPE is suitable for its deployment situation to match your operational environment.
