Bespoke
Engineering
Without
Compromise

Our specialist engineering team utilises innovative expertise with modern design tools and manufacturing flexibility across our four global facilities in Italy, the UK, India, and China. This integrated approach means we can modify existing designs or create entirely bespoke alternators from a brief. So, whether you need permanent magnet generators, space-saving designs, 400 Hz systems, totally enclosed configurations, or completely custom-engineered solutions, we have the technical capability and manufacturing know-how to power your specific needs.

Collaborative
engineering

Custom alternator projects thrive on close collaboration between your experts and ours. If requirements dictate that standard products are sub-optimal, we work with you from initial concept through to final commissioning ensuring every technical requirement is met and your final product is fully optimised. This unique partnership approach means we go beyond more than just the specifications, considering our expertise from the many diverse sectors and applications we serve. These real-world insights further enable us to ensure power continuity in the conditions and operational demands your alternator will face.

Engineered, Tested,
and Proven

Our capabilities in low, medium, and high voltage applications across diverse sectors including critical power installations, renewable energy projects, marine propulsion, specialist industrial processes, and general industry, where off-the-shelf solutions simply won't work. Each custom project benefits from our comprehensive testing facilities and quality assurance processes, ensuring your bespoke alternator performs as designed in your specific operating environment.

Case study: Together we power the world

ARNO RIVER HYDROPOWER PROJECT

Restoring heritage and powering the future

Mecc Alte’s custom MV/HV alternators are powering one of Italy’s most ambitious renewable energy projects along the historic Arno River in Tuscany. Working in partnership with Hydroalp, we supplied specialised medium and high voltage alternators for twelve hydroelectric plants created by transforming centuries-old weirs into modern power generation facilities.
The project spans 55 kilometres and will generate 55 GWh of energy annually, meeting the needs of approximately 20,000 families whilst saving around 25,000 tons of CO2 emissions every year. Each installation required alternators engineered specifically for the unique hydrological conditions and environmental requirements of these heritage sites, where standard solutions couldn’t accommodate the complex technical and ecological demands.
Working alongside Hydroalp, we engineered alternators that made this project possible, showing how modern power generation and heritage preservation can work hand in hand to power the future.
